Switching up branded for a cheaper alternative (Watches)

Monday, 24 September 2018

I love pretty things, and most of the prettiest things come with a hefty price tag.

Over the past 3-4 years I've started to invest in pieces that are more expensive than I would usually go for, but I do like the buy new bits regularly, aaand at this time in my life I'm trying to save as much money as possible, the next step for me is moving the London, so realistically I want this to happen as soon as I can, and it ain't cheap. That means being a lot tighter with money.

Now, the problem is, I still love beautiful things. I've been shopping around for cheaper alternatives, and let me tell you, there's a lot out there!

This is a accidentally? watch heavy post. I didn't mean for it to be this way, but without realising I've clearly been loving the wrist watches this month.

Black & Gold

So for years I've had my eye on a Olivia Burton watch, and when I found this rose gold face, with a black strap watch I had to have it. I've always wanted one of the pink ones, but I cannot deny this one it's beauty. This is clearly heavily influenced from the OB's, however, wait for it... I bought this for a measly £3 and that was just postage.. it was free from Wish. I have no idea how it works, but here's the link you only have to pay for postage!

If you look closely you can tell this isn't expensive as the catch on the back is silver, unlike the face.

Rose Gold chain

The second watch, the gold one is exactly the same, link here. It's just a really easy and cheap way to stay in fashion but you don't have to break the bank. I kind of got stuck in the mind set that everything I buy needs to branded, needs to cost the word, but it doesn't and I wanted to share those to two steals with you! I think at the moment this is my most most worn because it's just to shiny, and looks quite expensive.

The hand on this watch is blue, which again shows it's non-expensive side, however you'd have to be looking closely to see this.

My friend Amy didn't believe it was £3!

Gold & Pink.

Lastly is the pink and gold watch, this is actually from Tesco, and I believe it was £8-10, so not as cheap as the others but it's beautiful and still extremely affordable. I love to wear this one to work, it's beautiful but quite subtle.

I hope you enjoyed this post, it's my first once since I'm back to blogging properly, and it was just so lovely to sit down and write this. It didn't feel forced, the words just flowed and it's really inspired me to keep going! I'm about to tackle the social media sharing / promoting.. that's the hard part of blogging people over look.
