Moving home

Thursday, 30 August 2018

When I first decided to move home I just felt like it was going to be a step back in life.

I’d moved to a new town, started renting a flat with my boyfriend, but now I’m back in a single bed room, at home, but it’s a lot different to when I was younger.

It’s different for me as ‘home’ is with my auntie, so really it’s like renting a house with a close friend and there bomb ass dog. She’s lush, my Instagram is just showered with pictures of her. (the dog)

I chose to move home to help my aunt out with Money, and to save up! I could have gone to my nans for the cheaper rent but my aunt helped me out when I left home so it’s my turn to help out now.

The main reason for me and Ibby parting ways is for him to pursue his new job in London and for me to save, so I can move there with him in 6-12 months.

It’s been 3 days since I moved home (he’s not leaving for London until Sunday) and he’s already coming down from Swindon tonight to see me, we are going to suck at long distance! I hate the ideas of only seeing him for one weekend out of 4, but I guess it will be nice to have my own space, read lots of books, and get drunk every weekend. I can do that all with him BUT I’m trying to think of the positives.

It's actually amazing moving home.

Me and my aunt cook dinner for each other, we take turns to un-stack the dish washer, I love Ibby but I like living with a girl much more, he never did half the cleaning she does! I do miss him so much but I do thinking living apart has made our relationship better, I just worry I won't want to move back in with him.

It's only been a week but I cannot wait to be able to save lots, and move on to London to the next stage of my life!

  1. That's a smart move! You can save money and spend quality time with your auntie. Besides, your bf can come visit!
