Winter lip picks

Saturday, 2 December 2017

I can hold my hands up and admit that within the last year or so lipstick is scarcely seen on me. I used to wear it all the time, but it's something I rarely reach for anymore.

I don't know why, but it's just not on my mind. I've been making an effort to use it more over the past few weeks, I'm wearing some now! (Go me) I sadly had to chuck away about 70% of my make-up today, we have really bad mould in our flat, and the landlord is pretty shite, so we live with it. We're moving next year so it's live-able for now.

The mould got to my make-up, that broke my heart. Now I have everything within make-up bags, rather than in plastic holders, they had to go too. I can't wait to leave this bloody flat. It's sad, but with the January sales I have a lot more space for new things...

These little beauties survived the mould, I forgot these were in my drawer so in hindsight we've reconnected. £5 was the cost for these five lipsticks, it was a great deal in my eyes. They're by a brand called FREEDOM. They are sold in Superdrug and I really rate them.

I use FREEDOM eye brow gel, that changed my life. It's just incredible. I'll write a little review when I repurchase. You don't want to see a picture of my battered old one, and the odd eye brow hair in. Their multi-coloured concealer is also spot on, it's just so affordable and good quality.

I wanted to chat about these because I did over look them, and now I'm really getting use out of them.

All four of these are a lot darker than they look, but they're beautiful. These kinds of shades just look amazing at this time of year, apparently wearing black lipstick doesn't have to be 'Gothic' anymore. Who knew? The quality is shockingly good, perfect for a work Christmas party!

Thanks for reading, Sophie xox
